Solutions · Streaming & CDN

Streaming and CDN servers. Terabytes out, zero traffic bill.

Video delivery, live streaming and download mirrors live or die on bandwidth cost. Every PowerDedi server has its own 10 Gbps port, unmetered: the price stays the same whether you push 5 TB or 500.

Why PowerDedi

Built for sustained, heavy traffic.

  • Flat cost per serverNo per-GB egress, no 95th-percentile billing and no ratio. Your bandwidth bill is part of the server price.

  • 10 Gbps per serverAround 1,300 simultaneous 1080p viewers per server at 80% of line rate, before any caching tricks.

  • Close to your viewersTen cities in Europe, North America and Asia, so edges sit near the audiences that matter.

  • Encode on CPU or GPURyzen and EPYC for x264, x265 and SVT-AV1; NVIDIA GPUs with NVENC for dense hardware transcoding.

Sizing

Viewers per 10 Gbps server.

How many simultaneous streams one server can deliver at 80% of its port speed. Adaptive bitrate ladders mix these rates.

Viewers per 10 Gbps server
StreamBitrateViewers per server
Audio (AAC / Opus)128 kbps62,500
720p3 Mbps2,650
1080p6 Mbps1,300
1440p10 Mbps800
4K (HEVC or AV1)16 Mbps500

Calculated at 8 Gbps (80% of line rate), rounded down. Real capacity also depends on disk and cache hit ratio, TLS overhead and the routes to your viewers.

Bandwidth cost

What your traffic would cost at cloud list prices.

Move the slider to your monthly traffic. Hyperscaler egress is billed per gigabyte; here it is part of the server price.

Cloud figure: AWS internet egress list prices for us-east-1 (first 100 GB free, then $0.09 down to $0.05 per GB), checked September 2026. Server count assumes a 60% average load on each 10 Gbps port to leave room for peaks. Large CDN contracts can cost less than list prices.

FAQ

Streaming & CDN: questions, answered.

Still have a question? Customers with an active server get answers from engineers in a support ticket.

Support tickets
Is there really no traffic limit?

There is no quota, no overage fee, no 95th-percentile billing and no inbound/outbound ratio. Your 10 Gbps port is yours alone; beyond it, uplinks are shared as on any network. What unmetered means here

Can I build my own CDN across several cities?

Yes. Deploy edges in any of our ten locations and steer users with GeoDNS or anycast from your DNS provider. Each server keeps its own unmetered port.

Can I stream content I don’t own the rights to?

No. You may only distribute content you have the rights to. We forward valid infringement notices to you, and repeated or unresolved infringement leads to action under our Acceptable Use Policy.

What about DDoS attacks on streaming endpoints?

Network-level (L3/L4) mitigation is always on and included. HTTP-level floods need application-side protection such as rate limiting or a reverse proxy. How our DDoS protection works

Can I get more than 10 Gbps on one server?

Not on one server: each has its own 10 Gbps unmetered port. Most streaming setups scale better by adding servers in more cities.
