The right Cherry Servers alternative depends on which part of Cherry you rely on. For API-driven, hourly-billed bare metal, Latitude.sh and phoenixNAP work the same way. For a monthly server that moves heavy traffic and is paid in crypto, PowerDedi includes a 10 Gbps unmetered port on every server and accepts Monero. Prices below were checked on 15 October 2026.

## The short version

| Feature | Cherry Servers | PowerDedi |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Ryzen 9 9950X, 128 GB, monthly | €349 ($408.33), 2 × 1 TB NVMe, 100 TB of outbound traffic | $159, 2 × 1.92 TB NVMe, 10 Gbps unmetered |
| Bandwidth | 100 TB out per server per month (20 TB in Singapore and Tokyo), then €0.50 per TB (€1.69 in Asia); inbound free | Own 10 Gbps port: no quota, no overage, no 95th percentile, no ratio |
| Billing | Hourly, monthly or fixed terms; spot servers | Monthly, no setup fee, cancel anytime |
| Crypto | Through CoinGate and BVNK: BTC, ETH, SOL, USDC and others; no Monero | BTC, ETH, XMR, USDT (TRC-20), SOL, paid directly |

## What Cherry Servers does well

Cherry Servers is a bare-metal provider based in Lithuania that runs dedicated servers much like a cloud. Several of its strengths have no equivalent at PowerDedi, and they belong in any honest comparison.

- **Automation.** Servers can be created and managed through a REST API, the cherryctl CLI, Python and Go SDKs, an Ansible collection and a Terraform provider.
- **Flexible billing.** Plans run by the hour (€0.598 an hour for the Ryzen 9 9950X), by the month or on fixed terms that save up to 31%, and Cherry also sells spot servers.
- **Live stock.** The pricing page shows, for each configuration and city, whether servers are in stock.
- **Web3 focus.** Cherry has dedicated server lines for Ethereum, Polygon, Monad and Solana validators and RPC nodes, and offers DoubleZero interconnection.
- **A published SLA.** It commits to 99.97% network and power uptime with service credits of 5 to 30 days, hardware replacement within 1 hour in Lithuania and 4 hours elsewhere, and a first ticket response within 15 minutes.
- **Transparency and compliance.** Its locations page gives each data center’s address, upstream providers, internet exchanges and certifications. For its Lithuanian site it lists its own ISO 27001 certificate and SOC 2 Type II.
- **Networking.** Private VLANs in each region, and BGP with your own ASN and IP space.
- **GPUs.** NVIDIA accelerators from the A2 to the A100 80 GB, with up to two GPUs in some servers.
- **Support and refunds.** Support around the clock by email, live chat or phone, and a 15-day money-back guarantee.

## Cherry Servers vs PowerDedi: like-for-like prices

Cherry’s prices come from its public pricing page on 15 October 2026: monthly term, excluding VAT, in euros, with the US dollar price Cherry itself displays in brackets. PowerDedi prices are monthly in US dollars, with no setup fee and the 10 Gbps unmetered port included. Where Cherry does not sell the same processor, the row shows the closest configuration and says how it differs.

| Configuration | Cherry Servers | PowerDedi | Differences |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| AMD Ryzen 9 9950X, 16 cores, 128 GB DDR5 | €349 ($408.33): 2 × 1 TB NVMe, 100 TB out | [$159](https://powerdedi.com/dedicated-servers/amd-ryzen/ryzen-9-9950x): 2 × 1.92 TB NVMe | Same CPU and memory; nearly twice the NVMe capacity at PowerDedi |
| Ryzen 9 9950X in Tokyo | €439 ($513.63): 20 TB out, then €1.69 per TB | $159 | Cherry charges the same €439 in Singapore |
| 32-core AMD EPYC, Zen 5 | EPYC 9355, 192 GB ECC, 2 × 1 TB NVMe: €599 ($700.83) | [EPYC 9355P](https://powerdedi.com/dedicated-servers/amd-epyc/epyc-9355p), 384 GB ECC, 2 × 3.84 TB NVMe Gen5: $519 | Same core count and clocks (3.55/4.4 GHz); twice the memory and nearly four times the NVMe at PowerDedi, built to order in 24 hours |
| 16-core EPYC 4000 series | EPYC 4564P (Zen 4), 192 GB DDR5, 2 × 1 TB NVMe: €259 ($303.03), in Stockholm and Frankfurt | EPYC 4585PX (Zen 5 with 3D V-Cache), 128 GB DDR5 ECC, 2 × 1.92 TB NVMe: $179 | Closest match, not identical: newer CPU at PowerDedi, more memory at Cherry |
| Large EPYC, Zen 4 | EPYC 9554P, 64 cores, 384 GB ECC, 2 × 1 TB NVMe: €669 ($782.73) in Chicago and Stockholm, €739 elsewhere | EPYC 9454P, 48 cores, 256 GB ECC, 2 × 3.84 TB NVMe: $489 | Cherry lists no 9454P; its 48-core option is the higher-clocked EPYC 9474F with 384 GB, at €899 |
| GPU server | NVIDIA A2 to A100 80 GB, up to 2 GPUs per server; no Blackwell card listed | RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell, 96 GB, on an EPYC 9355P host with 384 GB: $899 | Not comparable card for card; one GPU per server at PowerDedi |

Two more Cherry prices are worth knowing. An annual term takes 15% off the Ryzen 9 9950X, to €296.65 a month. And the previous-generation Ryzen 9 7950X, with 128 GB of ECC memory, costs €199 ($232.83) a month, or €169.15 on an annual term, if Zen 4 is enough for your workload. Hourly billing suits short jobs rather than permanent servers: 720 hours of a 9950X at €0.598 come to €430.56, more than the monthly price.

## Bandwidth: 100 TB included vs an unmetered 10 Gbps port

Cherry meters outbound traffic. Each dedicated server on a fixed-term plan includes 100 TB of egress a month, on a port of 3 to 10 Gbps depending on the server’s core count; the 9950X gets 10 Gbps in Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Stockholm and Chicago and 3 Gbps in Šiauliai. Inbound traffic is free, and allowances add up across all servers in a project. Beyond the allowance, Cherry charges €0.50 per TB, and it may slow a project to as little as 100 Mbps until usage falls back under the cap or more traffic is ordered. In Singapore and Tokyo, a dedicated server includes 20 TB and extra traffic costs €1.69 per TB.

Here is what that means for one Ryzen 9 9950X at list price, excluding VAT, assuming you buy the extra traffic rather than accept a slowdown:

| Outbound traffic per month | Cherry, Europe or Chicago | Cherry, Singapore or Tokyo | PowerDedi |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| 50 TB | €349 | €489.70 | $159 |
| 300 TB | €449 | €912.20 | $159 |
| 1 PB | €799 | €2,095.20 | $159 |

Cherry’s European overage price is low: moving 300 TB a month adds €100 to the bill. The model matters most in Asia, where the allowance is a fifth of the European one, and for traffic that is hard to forecast, because a busy month either costs more or risks a slowdown. On PowerDedi, every server has its own [10 Gbps unmetered port](https://powerdedi.com/network/10gbps-unmetered): no quota, no overage fee, no 95th percentile billing and no inbound/outbound ratio. Uplinks beyond the port are shared, as on any network, and we only intervene on attacks or abuse, contacting the customer first unless an attack is in progress. Our guide to [unmetered, 95th percentile and per-TB billing](https://powerdedi.com/blog/unmetered-vs-95th-percentile-bandwidth-billing) runs the same arithmetic for other billing models.

## Paying with crypto: CoinGate vs direct payment

Cherry accepts cryptocurrency through two payment partners, CoinGate and BVNK. Its documentation lists the popular coins it takes: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Cardano, USDC, Polygon, BNB, Litecoin, Dogecoin, XRP, TRON, Dai, Algorand, Shiba Inu and Bitcoin Cash, on networks that include Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon and the Lightning Network. Monero is not on the list.

Two points in Cherry’s FAQ are worth reading before you pay, and Cherry attributes both to EU rules. USDT payments through CoinGate ended on 23 March 2025 under MiCA, and Cherry moved to USDC. Under the Travel Rule, CoinGate asks individuals for their name, country of residence and date of birth, and payments from a self-hosted wallet can require proof that you own it. Card payments require an identity check through iDenfy first.

PowerDedi takes payment only in crypto, directly: Bitcoin, Ethereum, [Monero](https://powerdedi.com/crypto-payments/monero), USDT on TRON (TRC-20) and Solana. Prices are set in US dollars and the crypto amount is locked when you open the payment, for 45 minutes with BTC and XMR and 30 minutes with the others. You can top up an account balance and renew automatically from it. Sign-up needs only an email address, with no ID, phone number or card, as our [no-KYC servers page](https://powerdedi.com/no-kyc-dedicated-servers) explains. The flip side: PowerDedi cannot take a card, a bank transfer or PayPal. If your finance team needs those, Cherry is the practical choice.

## Delivery time: 12 minutes, 30 minutes or 3 hours?

Cherry publishes three different figures for the same thing. Its homepage and pricing page give an average of 12 minutes for pre-configured servers. Its FAQ says Linux servers are provisioned within 15 to 30 minutes and Windows servers in about 30. Its SLA sets an estimated preparation time of 1 to 3 hours after payment for bare-metal servers and leaves custom builds undefined; elsewhere Cherry quotes about 24 hours, or 24 to 72 hours, for those. The figures do not contradict each other: the first two describe what the automation usually achieves, the last one what Cherry commits to.

At PowerDedi, in-stock configurations are provisioned automatically about 15 minutes after the payment is confirmed on-chain, so add your chain’s confirmation time. Other configurations are built to order in 24 or 72 hours, as shown on each model’s page.

## What PowerDedi does not offer

A fair comparison includes the gaps. If any of these matters to you, Cherry or one of the providers below is the better fit:

- No hourly billing or spot servers: billing is monthly.
- No public API, CLI or Terraform provider. Power control, rescue mode, OS reinstalls and the IPMI/KVM console are in the client area.
- No private networking between servers.
- No card, bank-transfer or PayPal payments.
- One GPU per server: no multi-GPU servers and no NVLink.
- No published certifications, and no published data-center names or carrier list.
- Support by ticket from the client area, for customers with an active server; no phone, chat or email.
- No servers in Lithuania, Stockholm or Chicago.
- GPU and crypto mining are not permitted under our acceptable-use policy. Running nodes is a supported use: see [blockchain node hosting](https://powerdedi.com/solutions/blockchain-nodes).

## Other Cherry Servers alternatives

One verified fact for each, taken from the provider’s own pages, as of October 2026:

| Provider | Closest to Cherry in | Verified fact |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Latitude.sh | API-driven bare metal, hourly or monthly | An EPYC 4564P with 128 GB, 2 × 480 GB plus 2 × 1.9 TB NVMe and 2 × 10 Gbps lists at $555 a month or $0.76 an hour, with 20 TB of outbound traffic and unmetered inbound |
| phoenixNAP Bare Metal Cloud | Infrastructure-as-code tooling | Servers deploy in as little as 60 seconds, with 15 TB of free bandwidth shared by the servers in a location (5 TB in Singapore) and Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi and Chef integrations |
| Hetzner | Monthly dedicated servers | Root servers have a 1 Gbit uplink with unlimited traffic; with a 10 Gbit uplink, 20 TB is included, then €1 ($1.20) per TB |
| DataPacket | Network-heavy workloads | Every server gets an unshared uplink, 50 Gbps as standard and up to 200 Gbps, with bandwidth plans priced separately |

## Migration checklist

1. **Measure your traffic.** Cherry’s client portal shows your project’s usage against its allowance. Note the monthly outbound volume and the peaks, so you know whether a 10 Gbps port per server covers you.
2. **Match the hardware and the city.** Pick the same CPU or a newer one, check that memory and NVMe fit your data with room to grow, and test latency from your users or peers to the candidate cities.
3. **Order and pay.** Open the payment when you are ready to send it: the crypto amount stays locked for 30 or 45 minutes depending on the coin.
4. **Secure the new server first.** Install your SSH keys and a firewall before any data arrives; the IPMI/KVM console is your fallback if you lock yourself out.
5. **Copy the data.** Use rsync over SSH, ZFS send and receive, or your application’s own replication. For blockchain nodes, a recent snapshot is often faster than a full resync.
6. **Move validators carefully.** Stop the validator on the Cherry server before you start it on the new one, and never let two machines sign with the same keys.
7. **Test the network.** Run a multi-stream iperf3 test in both directions, as described in our [network speed test guide](https://powerdedi.com/docs/network-speed-test).
8. **Cut over and clean up.** Lower DNS TTLs a day ahead, switch, then update reverse DNS, firewall allowlists and monitoring. Delete hourly Cherry servers once traffic has moved; Cherry’s 15-day refund window covers only orders placed in the last 15 days.

## Cherry Servers questions people ask
